WHO WE ARE
The WeaveHeritage project is an important initiative aimed at preserving and promoting the cultural values related to weaving, particularly the traditional weaving techniques, patterns, and motifs of various ethnic groups and communities around the world. This project focuses not only on protecting ancient weaving techniques but also on encouraging creativity and innovation by applying heritage elements into contemporary products. The goal is to create a bridge between the past and the present, helping future generations understand and appreciate the value of traditional crafts, while protecting them from the risk of being lost in the face of rapid industrialization.
We are Group 1, a team of 5 students from Van Lang University, passionate about culture and communication. WeaveHeritage is our Global Communication course project, aiming to promote and preserve the brocade weaving art of Vietnam’s ethnic minorities.
